It’s not often you get a true old-world feel in a newly built home. It’s unusual to find a space designed both for formal entertainment and cosy afternoons with family. It’s rare for a villa to blend modern décor with timeworn antiques.
But then, Villa Kalinda wouldn’t be content with ordinary. No – this welcoming family home strives to exceed expectations.
Stunning aesthetic touches are everywhere, from the double-height vaulted ceilings and shaded pergolas, patios and terraces to burbling water features and exquisite Moroccan detailing.
Each of the 5 spacious and stylish bedrooms comes with their own bathroom. But there are also plenty of other spaces in which to relax: a glass-curtained, all-year sunroom, a galleried reading library and cinema room, as well as an indoor gym and ocean-view hot tub.
It’s a home rich with detail. A villa that exceeds expectation. A family vacation that breaks the mould.
At Villa Kalinda, the overarching theme inside and out is contemporary Andalucian style, and the whole place is bathed in the southern Spanish sun and rich with Moroccan flair.
Surprises lie around every corner outside: from a shaded terrace here, to a fruit orchard there, and sea views, everywhere. Sun loungers cluster around an eco-friendly swimming pool, while an outdoor games room is perfect for keeping the whole family entertained.
An all-weather terrace with cosy seating and removable glass curtains is a year-round invitation to the Spanish sun. It also brings the outside in, letting light flood throughout the main living area.
Triple-height vaulted ceilings and an all-year terrace (with removable glass curtains, for winter use) set the tone for Villa Kalinda, a home filled with light and character. The southern Spanish sun streams down, reflecting off contemporary-classic décor, illuminating Moroccan tiles, and glinting off the saltwater pool and fountains.
Here, there’s not just one living space but many: indoors and out, plush sofas and warm sun loungers, cosy nooks and sea-view sitting areas beckon you to relax. Spanish arches frame cream upholstery, and wide hallways embrace warm tiling (warm even in winter, thanks to underfloor heating). Ocean views, stretching to North Africa on a clear day, peek in most windows.
A mezzanine overlooks the living area and reading library. A corner of the living room houses an electric piano. An office nook is carved out of a well-loved bureau. A classical sofa and elegant chairs flank an open fireplace.
The indoor dining room, which connects to the balcony and second dining area, offers a hexagonal table that seats 8 (additional table for 2 can be added). The room’s focal point is a beautiful wooden sideboard adorned with Oriental lamps and artwork. For convenience and easy service, the kitchen adjoins the dining room.
The cottage-style kitchen offers black granite worktops, a well sized refrigerator, an induction hob, and everyday conveniences including a Nespresso and wine rack. The kitchen offers a small breakfast table that overlooks the pool and sea, and opens onto the main terrace with further outdoor dining for 10 overlooking the pool.
Beside the pool is a 3rd dining area with a BBQ seating 4+, and in the lower part of the garden is a 4th and final dining area seating 6 adjacent to the outdoor games room.
Cool off in your own private oasis: an ocean-view, lagoon-shaped swimming pool surrounded by lush landscaping and tropical plantings. Stretch out on a sun lounger or retreat to the poolside pergola, where you can relax with a book, fire up the professional-grade gas BBQ, and lay out a summer lunch spread.
Villa Kalinda is built for outdoor living, with several terraces that look out over the pool and gardens, ensuring plenty of privacy and space for large groups. The gardens extend all around the the villa, and lead down to an outdoor porch/game room, outfitted with table tennis, a pool table, darts, and additional sun loungers and other seating. The lower garden is home to a fruit orchard.
Indoors you will find 3 separate lounges offering space for large families. The multi-media family room offers complete entertainment, with a large cinema screen, Blu-ray player, IPTV (movies + sports), Apple TV, Bose surround-sound system, and Sonos music system. While the kids are entertained, adults can enjoy the main living room and Moroccan summer room all year round.
Additionally, inside the villa you’ll find a hot tub and well-equipped gym, with a treadmill, cross-trainer, multi-gym, and weights (also with IPTV). There is a community tennis court available for your use.
Villa Kalinda is serviced by a local villa management company who provide a light clean midweek as well as a full linen change and clean every 7 days, and they also attend to the pool and garden. Additional hours, personal laundry and babysitting may be requested, payable direct.

Villa Kalinda is one of the most welcoming family villas we’ve seen. The owners had the villa designed and built and now live here for several weeks each year so they’ve made it a real home from home with touches from their beloved Morocco.
What I love most is that there’s much you don’t expect; around each corner is something else to discover, with so many different spaces, terraces, games areas, quiet corners, even a large extended family - so you won’t need to worry about getting under each other’s feet!
The Luxury Villa Collection is a world class company with world class customer service. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company to anyone, indeed I would try to persuade anyone interested in renting a villa for a holiday to use this company. I will definitely use this company again. The experience made the holiday even more enjoyable. A 7 Star company.
Our stay in this villa was fantastic. First of all, this villa is beautiful, clean and very spacious, perfect for a group of 10. The location is superb – in a charming neighbourhood- and there is a beautiful sea view from the terrace. The design and conditions of the house are really amazing: it was very comfortable, lovely designed with everything we needed there.
The pool is fab and my kids could have spent the entire holiday just in there… We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful house, I recommend it to anyone
The villa is stunning and well appointed with everything we needed for stay. It is beautifully decorated in the Andalusian style. The views from every window and patio are amazing. The location in the Elvira area is perfect – quiet, yet nearby beaches, restaurants, shopping and Marbella. The large pool is gorgeous, and the landscaping is lush with fruit and palm trees and flowering plants. Our grandchildren played in the pool several times each day.
Thank you for the brilliant vacation home away from home.
Villa Kalinda is a fabulous and popular property for extended families to relax and unwind – so if you have special dates in mind, you’ll have to be quick. With 5 ensuite bedrooms, some with their own terraces, there’s plenty of room for 3 generations and with 3 individual living spaces and several terraces there’s plenty of space to spread out.
When the summer sun gets high, cool off in the shady garden playroom, or the indoor multimedia lounge with large cinema screen and Playstation. In winter, the pool can be heated, while there’s also a heated Jacuzzi and sauna to keep you warm.
The Character Collection
Villa Kalinda exudes a real air of Al-Andalus with some delightful Moorish details and Spanish touches. You’d never think it was less than 10 years old. We especially love the double-height beamed ceilings and Moroccan carvings in the patio, which were a special gift for the owner’s birthday from his wife. Fabulous.
Villa Kalinda is located in the upmarket, leafy suburb of Hacienda Las Chapas just a few minutes to the east of Marbella. This sophisticated suburb is close to some excellent beach clubs, small commercial developments and unspoiled virgin beaches lined with sand dunes edging the cool Mediterranean.
If you can pull yourself away from your private retreat, Villa Kalinda is conveniently located to the undeveloped and unspoiled Marbesa Beach (5 minutes), and a short drive to Cabopino (east), with its marina, restaurants and beach bars.
A couple of minutes drive via the underpass will take you directly to the beach, or you can choose from upmarket beach clubs like La Cabane at Los Monteros or Nikki Beach in Elviria – feel free to ask our Concierge for the best tables and beds
For eating out, one our favourite spots is Cabopino which is a gorgeous boutique port lined with Spanish and international restaurants, all stylish enough for discerning clients. And of course in the other direction you can also enjoy Marbella and Puerto Banus for a bigger, more glitzy affair. There are several more options just minutes away in the hubs of El Rosario, Elviria and Las Chapas, and along the beach there’s a mixture of family run ‘chiringuitos’ serving up the fresh catch of the day, and chic beach bars like Trocadero Arena offering gourmet cuisine with a fusion of the Mediterranean and Asia.
Hacienda Las Chapas is a perfect spot in the mid point of the Costa del Sol, so from here you can easily visit typical white villages like Mijas and Benahavis, smaller harbours like Cabopino and the original fishing village of La Cala for a really Spanish vibe and some seriously upmarket new restaurants worth checking out.
In Marbella you’ll find something for all tastes – from world-class cuisine and characterful tapas bars, to designer labels and local brands, via beautiful beaches and breathtaking mountain walks.
Situated on the shores of the Mediterranean, Marbella is famous for its glitz and glamour, but there's also no shortage of Spanish charm, culture and character. The resort is renowned for its sunny climate that puts the ‘Sol’ in Costa del Sol, and here we have mile upon mile of beaches, white villages, bustling shops and breathtaking scenery, making it an ideal holiday destination for both families and groups of friends.
To explore a little further afield you're an easy 40 minute drive from Malaga old town, about 20 minutes from Mijas Pueblo, and an hour and half from the breathtaking town of Ronda or a day out with a difference in Gibraltar. Our expert tour guides can also collect you for a door-to-door escorted tour of the cities of Seville, Granada, Cordoba, Malaga or a tailor made gourmet tapas tour of old town Marbella – a perfect way to get to know the hidden side to this gorgeous town.
