This rare and beautiful home has been lovingly curated by three generations of a very artistic family. Spacious bedrooms are spread across two villas connected by a wooden bridge, nestled in lush, tropical gardens and an inviting private pool.

Villa Tenang is an exceptional, one-of-a-kind villa which takes you on a magical journey around the world and then brings you down to earth with pure old school charm.
The owner’s love of art and travel is evident throughout the accommodation. Interiors inspired by travels to Bali, Africa and Japan, are united with exquisite art pieces, curio and objet d’art.
Head outside to the peaceful gardens with lagoon-style soft water pool. Relax on the terrace or on a sun lounger with just the sound of birdsong and the soothing murmur of the waterfall that trickles into the turtle pond.
A TOUCH OF OLD-STYLE GLAMOUR BY THE BEACH, THAT’S VILLA TENANG
Villa Tenang is the kind of home that you see in a romantic black and white movie and dream of staying in. We can picture Cary Grant and Grace Kelly mixing a cocktail in the Safari-inspired living room and sipping them on the terrace at sunset.
The interiors are overflowing with charisma, and you can feel that this home has a rich history and has been lovingly cared for by three generations of the same family.
The main villa houses three of the eight bedrooms with a spacious first-floor suite and adjacent massage room, and two guest bedrooms on the ground floor. Polished teak floors flow through the ground floor accommodation and the impressive artworks may leave you speechless.
The guest house incorporates five of the eight bedrooms. One of which is on the ground floor, two are located on the first floor, and two on the lower level next to the games & cinema room.
BIRDSONG, A MURMURING WATERFALL & SHIMMERING PALM FRONDS
The two villas are set idyllic grounds with a manicured lawn and lagoon-style soft water pool taking centre stage. Swaying palms border the garden and are interspersed with tropical plants and foliage to create a space of complete privacy.
A sweet wooden bridge connects the two properties and divides the lagoon-style pool from the turtle pond and feature waterfall.
Two covered terraces lead off from the main villa and provide a much-needed shady outdoor space for the warmest of summer days. However, if you crave the sun’s rays or want to dry off after a dip, there are poolside sun beds.
The dining terrace is accessed from the sitting room and is furnished with a dining table to seat six guests (extendable), a hammock and teatime corner with four wicker chairs and a table.
A second elevated terrace is accessed from the main entrance hall. With its wicker lounge and armchair seating, it’s the ideal reading nook.
Villa Tenang’s accommodation is divided between two villas, so living rooms are stylish yet intimate, with outdoor terraces providing further relaxation space.
Main Villa:
The main villa features a formal sitting room inspired by the owner’s travels to Africa. A central fireplace is flanked by floor-to-ceiling windows with views out to the gardens. There is a sofa and two armchairs for relaxing and an impressive zebra print and glass coffee table in the centre.
Behind the sitting room is a cocktail mixing table and a desk area, so guests can catch up with the office during their stay.

Guest House:
The living room in the guest house opens out to a spacious terrace and has a bright and airy contemporary feel with two immaculate white sofas, light tiled floors and modern art pieces decorating the walls.

A smaller sitting room greets you at the entrance to the ground floor guest suite.
The main villa features an indoor dining table seating eight guests in the living room and a further dining table on the terrace adjacent to seat six guests. On request, it’s possible to add a further terrace dining table to seat 16 guests in total.
Guest House:
The guest house has a dining table to seat six guests in the main living room and a dining table can be set up on the terrace outside.
Additional seating can be arranged for larger groups to dine together.
There are spaces to relax galore in Villa Tenang, whether you crave an outdoor shady corner, to curl up on a comfortable sofa, or chill out on a bar stool in a space replete with contemporary pop culture art.
Main Villa:
The main villa features an impressive lower-level bar/club/cinema room with various seating options and a bar area.
Here, you’ll also find the gym and sauna room, so you can work out and then catch a movie or prepare yourself a virgin bloody Mary as your post-workout treat.
There is a massage room on the first floor and a masseuse can be arranged during your stay.
Two shady terraces are the perfect place to escape the heat. Both are furnished with comfortable wicker sofas and armchairs, and one features a hammock where you can enjoy a siesta lulled by the peaceful sounds of nature.
After a cooling dip in the lagoon-style pool, dry off on one of the poolside sun loungers before heading in for cocktail hour.
Guest House:
The uber cool games and cinema room in the guest house is definitely one for the adults, although with a pool table that converts into air hockey, we imagine younger guests and teenagers will also want a slice of the action.
There is a shady covered terrace before you enter the living room and both first floor bedrooms have a charming terrace overlooking the gardens.
The ground floor bedroom features a private sitting room with a TV.
Principal Bedroom 1: Located on the first floor of the main villa with a cathedral-style ceiling. The bedroom is furnished with a Super-king-size bed (180cm), bedside cabinets, smart TV, separate walk-in wardrobe/dressing area. Walk out to the cute terrace with loungers and views to the pool and entrance. The en-suite bathroom features a platform section with stairs up to a sunken bath next to a window with beautiful foliage outside, a separate walk-in shower, a Jade marble double wash basin and WC.
Guest Bedroom 2: Located on the ground floor with gorgeous picture windows that perfectly frame the peaceful views out to the pond and green foliage. The bedroom is furnished with a four poster Super-king-size bed (180cm), a chaise lounge, smart TV, two bedside tables, and a walk-in wardrobe.
The en-suite bathroom is equipped with a walk-in shower, single wash basin and WC.
Guest Bedroom 3: Located on the ground floor and furnished with two single beds 90x190cm, smart TV, built-in wardrobe and drawers.
The en-suite bathroom is equipped with a walk-in shower, double wash basin, bidet and WC.
Guest Bedroom 4: Located on the ground floor of the guest house, the bedroom has a separate sitting room with a sofa, armchair and bookcase. The bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed (150cm) with natural bamboo headboard, fitted wardrobes, smart TV, bedside cabinets, and full-length windows.
The en-suite bathroom is equipped with a walk-in shower, double wash basin, and WC.
Guest Bedroom 5: Located on the first floor and furnished with two single beds (90cm) which together make a split super-king-size, a beautiful Oriental stand-up wardrobe and chest of drawers, smart TV, 2 bedside cabinets. A private large terrace overlooks the gardens and features a telescope.
The en-suite bathroom is equipped with a walk-in shower, double wash basin, and WC.
Guest Bedroom 6: Located on the first floor and furnished with two single beds (90cm) which together make a split super-king-size bed, an ottoman proudly sits at the foot of the bed, a wardrobe, 2 bedside cabinets, a chest of drawers, smart TV and ceiling fan. A private, large terrace overlooks the gardens and pool.
The en-suite Jade marble bathroom is equipped with both a walk-in shower and bathtub, single wash basin and a WC.
Guest Bedroom 7: Located on the lower level next to the games/cinema room. The bedroom is furnished with two single beds (90cm) which can be put together to make a super-king-size bed, 2 bedside cabinets, an armchair and rug. Note: this bedroom does not have windows.
This bedroom shares a bathroom with bedroom eight, equipped with a compact walk-in shower, single wash basin and WC.
Guest Bedroom 8: Located on the lower level next to the games/cinema room with high windows. The bedroom is furnished with a 150cm double bed, smart TV, armchair, and a free-standing wardrobe.
This bedroom shares a bathroom with bedroom seven, equipped with a compact walk-in shower, single wash basin and WC.
Your rental includes daily housekeeping (7 days a week) plus a linen and towel change once every 3 days. Additional housekeeping hours can be booked and paid for directly to cover things like after-meal clearing up, nightly turn-down, or personal laundry. We can also source live-in staff if required.
Breakfast Lay-out Service
Your breakfast can be laid out each morning, with assistance from your housekeeper to serve and clear away. Some light cooking may also be requested. A menu will be provided before you travel so you can select options for the first 2 days* The food bill should be settled locally on arrival, then your remaining days’ choices can be discussed with your housekeeper on arrival.
