Villa Monterey’s spacious interiors (950 m2) centre around three living areas in the main floor: In the centre you find the triple-height vaulted living room with enormous picture windows, flanked on the left by the open plan kitchen-diner/TV lounge, and on the right, a member’s club-style TV and reading lounge. All three spaces lead out to the poolside and grounds, where sun beds and daybeds offer extensive seating and open-air living space.
While the main living area is stylish and formal, the more casual TV lounge is a warm space in the style of traditional member’s clubs. Squashy sofas invite conversation over after-dinner drinks, and a 50-inch TV is the perfect accoutrement for a movie evening in. A Sonos surround sound system and TV with UK stations complete the room’s entertainment offerings.
Downstairs is a fourth living space, a relaxing chill-out zone with chunky sofas, a cinema projector and bar for an entertaining night in with family and friends.
The modern, open-plan designer kitchen is a chef’s dream, with a cool colour palette of smart greys and whites, with chocolate-grey flooring and matte-white stone worktops, a large ceramic hob, dual dishwashers, large refrigerator and freezer, AG oven, Delonghi Nespresso coffeemaker, and twin wine chillers. The kitchen opens to the TV lounge area, which in turn opens onto the home’s main outdoor dining space overlooking the pool.
Villa Monterey invites outdoor living with an open-air main dining space located on a lovely, shaded terrace off the main kitchen and lounge. A cream marble table provides seating for eight. Additionally, an outdoor summer dining room promises the perfect spot for entertaining: seating for 12 guests, plus a fitted bar with fridges, sink and two drinks fridges.
A second complete kitchen is located in the lower-ground floor of the villa, perfect for staff or Nanny, but equally providing ample space for two families to each have their own space.
A spectacular lagoon-style pool is the epicentre of Villa Monterey’s relaxation offerings. Modern facilities include a newly tiled terrace complete with wood-effect decking. Adjacent to the pool is an immaculate lawn leading to the outdoor pergola for summertime cooking, dining and entertainment.
Sunbeds and daybeds dot the beautiful and expansive gardens (4,000 m2). On the terrace, the poolside summer lounge area adds additional seating for 10-12 on comfortable sofas. The verdant greens of the golf course spill onto the villa’s grounds, adding emerald hues to colourful bougainvillea, estrelizias and sun-loving palms. A table tennis table is available.
The recently renovated basement has been fitted with a large bar and cinema lounge area, complete with integrated surround sound and a media player with projector.
Bedroom 1: This ground-floor suite with flat access blends contemporary and classic with plush rugs, cream lamps, TV, and a large upholstered headboard to anchor the super-king (180 cm) bed. A newly refurbished, en-suite marble bathroom has a spa bath and separate shower. This bedroom overlooks the pool.
Bedroom 2: The second ground-floor bedroom, this twin-bedded suite is centrally located with views of the pool and gardens. A plum-and-gold palette adds warmth to interiors. Twin beds and tub chair open to the en-suite marble bathroom, which offers twin basins, heated towel rails, a shower cubicle and a sunken tub with spa jets.
Bedroom 3: The top floor principal suite is spacious and modern, offering ample wardrobe space, wooden-effect floor tiles, a super-king (180 cm) bed, contemporary chairs, and a TV. Walk out onto the attached sun terrace for magnificent views of the pool, gardens and golfing range. The en-suite marble bathroom promises luxuries, including a spacious walk-in rain shower for two and a freestanding Porcelanosa tub with window overlooking the pool and gardens.
Bedroom 4: The second top floor principal suite, a twin of bedroom 3 is accessed via a balcony that overlooks the living room. Like its twin bedroom, the en-suite marble bathroom offers a freestanding Porcelanosa tub and walk-in rain shower for two.
Bedroom 5: Ideally suited as the ‘kids den’ or for nanny or staff, this lower-ground floor suite offers a large bedroom with an integrated shower room and a lounge area. Here you have a queen-sized bed.
Bedroom 6: Also located on the lower-ground floor level, this bedroom suite is accessed through the cinema lounge. Classically decorated in pale golds and creams, this bedroom offers a king-size bed and sofa with ample space for a cot. A wide French door invites sunlight to stream into the room, opening to a private patio just steps to the pool. The en-suite, modern bathroom has a newly tiled shower room.

HOUSEKEEPING INCLUDED
This villa includes some light housekeeping during the week, plus a full clean and linen change once a week. Additional housekeeping assistance such as personal laundry is available and payable locally.
