Design-led Villa Acqua is just 300m from the beach and is packed with take-your-breath-away features; from vertical wall gardens and a glass elevator, to an incredible 'aquarium' swimming pool and a magnificent sea-view roof terrace... and we've only just scratched the surface!
Striking works by Pol Kurucz, objets d'art collected during the owner’s travels, a winter spa and ultra-stylish designer kitchen, all add to the fabulousness of this 4-bedroom Marbella villa sleeping 8 adults + 2 on a sofa bed
What’s more, the owners are champions of sustainability. So if you are passionate about protecting the planet, you’ll appreciate the eco-conscious features that flow through Villa Acqua - not to mention that you can leave the car at home and stroll out to some of the most fabulous bars and restaurants that Marbella has to offer!
RAVISHING CONTEMPORARY VILLA WITH SUSTAINABLE CREDENTIALS
With a feast of showstopping elements, Villa Acqua will have you under its spell from the moment you arrive.
Your eyes are immediately drawn to the fascinating vertical wall garden that greets you above the entrance. Step inside and you’ll be greeted by an interior wall garden in a living space that will blow you away.
With its 6-metre-high ceilings, wall of windows, glass mezzanine and the central circular vacuum lift, you start to get an idea of just how special Villa Acqua is.
Add to that, the 4-metre-deep pool with aquarium window, winter spa and rooftop cocktail terrace, Villa Acqua is a one-of-a-kind in central Marbella.
It’s rare to find a villa so close to central Marbella on a relatively compact plot with such a feeling of space and with so many incredible features, but Villa Acqua is one such home. The interiors have been expertly designed and curated to deliver surprises on every level.
The ground floor open-plan space is visually striking with its 6-metre ceiling, vertical wall garden, floor to ceiling wall of windows, gold partition wall to the designer bulthaup kitchen and the glass mezzanine overhead.
Travel between floors in the striking glass elevator.
The bedrooms are situated on the first and lower floors with a dazzling first-floor principal bedroom: the centrally positioned bed is backed by a solid shimmering Mexican marble headboard and gold dome overhead.
Downstairs, the lower level sitting room features the aquarium wall for underwater viewing, and a climate-controlled bodega, which you are welcome to use to keep your wines at the optimum temperature.
On this level, there is also a small gym section with an elliptical trainer, bike and yoga mats, as well as a winter spa* which can be booked in advance if you are staying at Villa Acqua during the autumn-winter months.
SUN-KISSED TERRACES, VERTICAL WALL GARDENS & AN EXTRAORDINARY POOL
The owners and architects have really packed a punch in their design of the terraces and roof terrace at Villa Acqua. The urban plot (which was once home to a traditional bungalow) has been transformed into a series of terraces that extend around the front and right side of the villa.
The main ground floor decked terrace is for relaxing and dining and extends out from the living area, to create a wonderful laid-back entertaining space for intimate groups.
The bespoke 26m2 / 5m deep pool features a counter current and a Jacuzzi seated section. Towards the rear of the villa and down some steps, you find the fire pit style BBQ area complete with ‘around the campfire’ wood log seating.
As truly wonderful as the ground floor terraces are, we think you might want to spend a good deal of your holiday on the roof terrace.
Spanning the whole of the villa’s floor space, here you can chill out on a sun bed during the day, or relax in the hot tub with a glass of bubbly at sunset. The terrace enjoys views to the Mediterranean Sea, where you can dine under the stars.

The living room is furnished with a long four-seater sofa, two armchairs and a sleek low coffee table. A graceful Indian sculpture sits serenely by the glass wall. Features include a glass floor mezzanine balcony, a designer drop lighting creation, and the vertical wall garden which lends a sense of tranquillity.
The lower level sitting room is an intimate space reminiscent of a snug VIP lounge. Ample seating is gathered around a wall-mounted Smart TV with a feature fireplace below. But it’s the aquarium wall which capture your complete attention.
A walk-in wine cellar is at your disposal for keeping your Spanish wine selection at the optimum temperature.
Villa Acqua gives you three dining rooms to choose from and two kitchens.
On the ground floor, adjacent to the kitchen there is an interior circular dining table to seat 7-8 guests illuminated by a Bauhaus pendant light above. The kitchen features a striking quartz counter island-cum-breakfast bar with stool seating for three.
The Bulthaup kitchen is compact but well equipped and the island lends the space needed for preparing ingredients.
The ground floor covered terrace is furnished with a dining table to seat eight guests and there is a fire pit BBQ on the lower terrace.
On the roof terrace you find a dining table with bar stool seating for 10 guests: perfect for informal dinner and cocktail evenings, and a prep kitchen with sink and fridge.
As well as being sleek and ultra-stylish, Villa Acqua is above all a place to come back and relax in after a day exploring the Costa del Sol or a heady evening in Marbella or Puerto Banús.
Want to relax in company? Choose from the ground floor living room which extends out to the lounge terrace and pool, the cosy lower floor sitting room or while away the day on a roof top sun lounger or in the hot tub with that Mediterranean Sea view.

A Taste of Spain
If you prefer not to cook, please ask our Concierge team for details of our private chefs. Our professional villa chefs can showcase the best local ingredients or cook favourite international dishes for you and your guests. (At Villa Acqua this is a service we particularly recommend for your convenience due to the limited space in the kitchen.)
For a taste of authentic Spanish cuisine, ask about our gourmet tapas menus, wine tasting, or book a private food tour with our expert guides.
Enjoy a full BBQ in the summer dining room, or have the chef cook a roof top paella while you relax with a G&T watching the sunset.
Villa Provisioning
All of our villas have a convenient stock-cupboard, with a starter supply of the the essential household items you might need for a comfortable stay.
Villa Essentials Service

In addition, from the moment you book, our Guest Experience Team will help with all your travel arrangements to ensure a smooth stay. Our Spain-based local experts have a well-honed ‘Little Black Book’ of hand-picked experiences at their disposal, ready to help you create lasting memories.

Every booking includes around 3 hours of itinerary planning before you travel (more complex itineraries can be organised for a fee to cover extended hours). As a guide, 3 hours is usually enough to help with your airport transfers and car hire, a chef service for a special meal, and to help you plan and book one day out.

From the moment I pulled up outside of Villa Acqua and took in the vertical gardens that dominate the façade, I knew this house would be special. The owners have installed many wonderful elements that you'd expect to find in a sprawling villa on a large plot, and yet Villa Acqua is an urban-size villa within walking distance to central Marbella.
The striking features, such as the aquarium pool, glass walkways and the sublime roof terrace, capture your attention, but it’s the subtle details that made me fall in love with Villa Acqua.
The infusion of modern art, the hidden fire pit terrace and the owner’s commitment to sustainability, all add to its unique appeal. I’ll happily drink a toast to congratulate the designer - especially if its a glass of Champagne in the hot tub - Salud!
Villa Acqua is located just 300 metres – an easy three-minute flat walk to Playa Casablanca and the glorious promenade which links Marbella to Puerto Banus and beyond.
It’s an ideal location if you want to spend relaxed days on the beach combined with boutique shopping and dinner experiences in nearby Marbella and Puerto Banus.
Or why not mosey along the Golden Mile where you’ll encounter some of Marbella’s finest eateries: whether you’re seeking an organic brunch, authentic Spanish lunch menu or a Michelin-star evening.
You can walk into Marbella (12 minutes) along the beachfront promenade, or if you’re feeling energetic, head the other way to Puerto Banus. It will take you about 50 minutes depending on how fast you walk, but there is no better way to experience happy, sun-filled life in Marbella
Situated on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea, Marbella is a resort known widely for its glitz and glamour, but for those looking to explore the area you’ll find plenty of Spanish charm, culture and character.
The resort is renowned for its sunny climate that puts the ‘Sol’ in Costa del Sol, and here we have mile upon mile of beaches, bustling shops and breathtaking mountain walks with spectacular scenery for your Instagram feed.
Whilst in Marbella, take a stroll around the old town with its pretty whitewashed streets, church squares and chic boutiques. Stop for an impromptu tapa near Plaza de los Naranjos where you’ll find some of Marbella’s best loved tapas bars.
Further afield, you can easily visit charming white villages along the coast, like Benahavis, Ojen or Ronda.
If you want to stay strictly on the coast, why not head along to the small harbour of Cabopino or the vibrant seaside village of La Cala de Mijas? Or our absolute favourite city, Malaga with its happy-go-lucky ambience, impressive Muelle Uno leisure port, Picasso museums, and phenomenal selection of places to dine.
