Villa Noa is a stylish and modern family pad with one of Marbella's best postcodes. Norwegian owners bought what used to be a very classical Andalucian villa and transformed it with a flash of Scandi-chic that makes the most of the incredible views from mountains to sea. They also thought carefully about wheelchair accessibility on the main floor, making this a rare find indeed!

beautiful & practical
The owners of Villa Noa are Norwegian, and in true Scandi-chic fashion the interiors are a mix of stylish minimalism with a warmer, more laidback feel.
The whole house is bathed in a calming colour palette of white, grey and tan. In the sitting room there’s a contemporary, slim-line, built-in fireplace and low-slung L-shaped sofas.
Rush matting and shag pile rugs provide rough, textured contrast to the cool, shiny marble on the floors and polished wood around the doors and bookshelves. Oversized vases are filled with white rushes from the garden, while rattan ceiling lamps run throughout the ground floor.
The kitchen is a small space that’s nevertheless fully loaded for catering for crowds. But here, too, there’s plenty of style to stop it slipping into the purely functional. Kitchen cabinets are futuristic, white affairs; shiny, copper Tom Dixon-style pendant lamps hang above the gleaming black counters. They combine with a wooden feature wall in a striking modern-meets-retro look.
In the adjoining, light-filled dining room there are more gleaming pendant lights, rush matting and seating for eight.
Downstairs in the basement, a small private cinema is the perfect spot to escape the heat of a summer’s afternoon with a movie.
a villa built around views
For a 4-bedroom house, Villa Noa’s not short of outdoor space. Gardens aside, the house itself is dotted with seating areas. Which means that as a guest here you’re always able to find a quiet corner to escape the rest of the group for a bit of sunbathing or quiet ‘me’ time.
The villa is surrounded by a spacious lawned area with a decent-sized pool in inviting mosaic-clad blue and turquoise and a separate hot tub. A covered outdoor kitchen with a gas barbecue and Tiki-style hut provide shade for the caterers in your group.
With the Mediterranean Sea in front and the Sierra Blanca mountains behind, Villa Noa is certainly beautifully located. And the layout of the outside of the house has been clearly designed to make the most of those views. A spiral staircase draws you up to first floor terraces from the ground floor garden and seating area. Also accessible from the bedrooms, there are stylish loungers and a Jacuzzi that’s perfect for a bit of late-night stargazing with a glass of something fizzy.
To get to the real show-stopping spot, though, you have to go up again – right to the top of the house, where the tower crowns the house, grandly surveying all before it.

The house is surrounded by lush lawns and well-kept drought-resistant gardens. At their heart is a pool lined with decking and loungers, and a standalone hot tub. Upstairs on the master bedroom’s terrace, there’s also a private Jacuzzi.
Down in the basement there’s a small soundproofed cinema clad in red velvet with six comfortable seats, and a curved cocktail bar.
There’s a decent-sized gym that’s well decked out with a treadmill, exercise bike, cross trainer and weights of both the machine and free variety.
The kitchen is small but perfectly formed and comes fully equipped with a Gaggenau induction hob in a central island, ovens, dishwasher, Nespresso and a separate utility area with two wine cooler cabinets.
Next to the kitchen, the dining room seats 8, while there’s further outdoor seating – and an outdoor kitchen with barbecue area – for a further 8 people.
