Every outdoor space at Villa Kenia seems to incline toward the panoramic vista, which sweeps down to Estepona and travels out over the Mediterranean to touch the distant coasts of north Africa.
There is nothing more Andalucian than Villa Kenia’s warm entrance, a quintessential Spanish patio, with elegant pillars, terracotta tiles, and an old well, surrounded by pots that drip with colourful blooms. And yet, this welcoming family home also lives up to its African namesake, celebrating the glorious weather and Spanish seaside location with an array of outdoor entertainment, complete summer kitchen, lounge spaces and private nooks.
The moment you step outside, it’s immediately clear that Villa Kenia was built to celebrate the views. Panoramic vistas unroll at every turn, so whether you’re lounging by the pool, seated on soft sofas with a glass of wine in hand, or cooking up a storm on the brand new outdoor grill, stunning Estepona and the Mediterranean are a forever glimmer at the horizon.
Explore 2,000m2 of meticulously groomed gardens, where a waterfall burbles and palm trees sway. Take a refreshing dip in the cool pool. Barbecue up a feast (or let our chef do it for you) in the top-of-the-range summer kitchen, while the final golden rays of the Spanish sun set over the sea, just as you settle in for a Moroccan lantern-lit meal.
After a long day’s relaxation, unwind in the new outdoor lounge with entertainment system built-in, or retreat to the gazebo at the end of the garden; the perfect vantage point to drink in spectacular views that stretch across the Mediterranean from Gibraltar to Africa.

Two living rooms: the principal being in the main part of the villa, where you’ll appreciate magnificent views, and the other in the lower ground floor family area with a flatscreen TV and games. The living room is outfitted in colonial style, with very comfortable seating in beige linen, perfect both for hot summers and chilly winters.
There is ample room to gather together, or to carve out a quiet spot to snuggle in with a good book and a glass of wine. The living room has exceptional panoramic views that sweep over the green hills and mountains, extending toward the northern African coastline.
Villa Kenia offers two dining areas, one inside and the other outdoors. In warm months, you’ll gravitate to the shaded pergola, where a long table and huge wicker chairs provide seating for up to 14.
A complete outdoor kitchen with grill is yours for the barbecuing, although we’re happy to book you a chef so you can avoid the scorching hot work!
The indoor formal dining room offers seating for 8, and is decorated in a light seaside theme. The dining room has views to the pool and sits adjacent to the sleek, modern kitchen, fully equipped with appliances (coffee maker, hand blender, ice maker, kettle, cafetiere, toasters, etc.).
Breakfast may also be taken on the new summer terrace (seats 12) where a clear day affords views of the surrounding hills, the sea, and the African coastline.
The pool takes centre-stage in the garden, surrounded by grass lawns, with poolside seating and panoramic views from the mountains to the sea, Gibraltar and Morocco. The shady gazebo by the pool is an ideal spot for evening cocktails.
The villa’s landscaped gardens are gorgeous, blending Andalucian tiles, stone walks, an old well and fountain, then looping around past a gently flowing waterfall that leads to the pool, gardens and multiple terraces with plush seating areas. Moroccan lanterns light the way for alfresco summer evenings.
Sun loungers surround the 8×5 metre pool (which can be gently heated for a supplement) with a choice of two shaded outdoor dining rooms.
Indoors, the games den is the entertainment hub at Villa Kenia. It is decorated in kid-friendly colours and accoutrements, with comfortable floor cushions, an enormous sofa, and a 55″ TV. (Plus British outlets, so you can bring your favourite electronics from home.)
The den offers twin pool tables; one for the children and one for the grown-ups, table football (foosball), and a selection of family games.

Why we love it
We absolutely loved the Villa Kenia, and had a wonderful time. Of course, southern Spain is gorgeous, and the weather was perfect.
The villa was perfect for us. It has a fantastic view, is a beautiful and well maintained home, and we did appreciate the little welcome package provided by the owners. We ate quite a few meals in, setting up at the table by the pool.
We really didn't take advantage of your concierge service, but we did have 1 or 2 questions that arose about the house, and received prompt solutions when contacting Steve and your staff.
So all in all it was a great trip. I would love to use your service again!
- Wow! - 13 of us arrived here last Saturday and were immediately impressed! The house is beautiful and the view is just perfect (we were also won over by the lovely candles and diffusers :)
The weather has been fab and we really cannot fault anything. The housekeeper is lovely and it has been a real treat having her come in (hopefully we haven't been too messy).
All in all, a wonderful time has been had by all.
"We had a great week and we think that the villa is really well located in the costa del sol.
Great spot and the view is perfect. The staff were very helpful to us"
"Thank you so much for allowing us the use of your wonderful home. We have had a fabulous 3 weeks and Joy has taken great care of us all. We are all very sad to be leaving and heading back home in the US and UK. Thank you too for your generous welcome basket and bottles of fizz which we have all enjoyed. Thank you again from us all."
"What a fantastic break! The villa is stunning, weather beautiful (especially when it's raining & cold at home!) and Joy is the total 'icing on the cake!' who made the break a total holiday. Thank you for your gorgeous breakfasts, your sunny smile and looking after us all week. We've had a wonderful time and hope to come back again."
"We have had a wonderful week here at Villa Kenia. The Villa and it's amenities are so lovely and relaxing we had a difficult time leaving it to visit other places! Joy (by name and nature) and the team looked after us royally. The breakfast are the stuff of legend. The villa was clean and tidy, all done with smiles and love."
"Brilliant stay. Staff were superb. Sad to be heading back! Thank you very much."

Enjoy the local area
Villa Kenia is located in the luxurious Selwo hills, close to Estepona and within easy access to the resort of San Pedro de Alcantara and Puerto Banus.
A far cry from the glitz of Puerto Banus, yet just as appealing, Estepona has become the destination of choice for families looking for understated luxury.
Villa Kenia sits overlooking the clear blue Mediterranean coastline, with views that stretch from Gibraltar to Africa. It is located in a family friendly yet upmarket development of private villas that enjoy some of the best views for miles around.
Located midway between San Pedro and Estepona, Villa Kenia is a short walk from the family friendly Selwo Adventure, so you can beat the crowds any day of the week! When the novelty of elephants and giraffes has passed, you will find yourselves just a short drive from the buzz of the main resorts of the Costa del Sol.
This villa enjoys far-reaching views down the rolling golf course to the Mediterranean, which is around 1.6km away or just a few minutes drive, and you can even see the Rock of Gibraltar and coast of Africa in the distance. For adventures further afield there’s plenty to keep all ages happy from historic towns and cities to natural marvels.
For an alternative family day out there is a great horse riding stables just 10 minutes’ walk away (5* rating on Trip Advisor) where you can book lessons or a longer hack, and it’s also possible to walk to the 9-hole golf course, La Resina (around 20 minutes walk) which is also suitable for all ages.
The villa is also close to some excellent local restaurants, which include a superb Italian restaurant located a five-minute drive away which also offers a home-delivery service. There is also a stylish beach bar nearby abounding in relaxed, bohemian charm – the perfect spot to enjoy lunch with a view or sip a cocktail from a sun lounger on the sand.
Guests choose to stay in Estepona for its peace and tranquillity with a relaxed and authentic Spanish vibe, yet you will never feel too far from the action and excellent dining options of the Marbella coastline or a fun day out in Gibraltar.
