Welcome to Villa Kenia

A WELCOMING FAMILY VILLA set in a holiday WONDERLAND

Designed to feel like your home-away-from-home, this super-stylish villa offers an abundance of sun-drenched living space for social gatherings where family memories are made.

The lights of Estepona glitter at night through picture windows; sunlight filters through Spanish arches; laughter can be heard around every corner. This is life at Villa Kenia, a home built for family and togetherness. A luxurious family villa rental with an eye for style and comfort, for creating spaces that invite you to gather together or relax alone in a private corner. An estate that embodies Andalucia, and yet offers a twist of Africa; the fluid indoor-outdoor flow reminiscent of luxury safari lodges, where the outside connects with the inside to create a space you’ll never want to leave.

The decor is a calming colour palette of white and beige, balanced with a sleek, contemporary kitchen and vibrant child-friendly colours in the family zone. Plush sofas and chairs are scattered invitingly throughout the space. A fun entertainment room, complete with a pool table, football table, and 55″ TV, promises many hours of memories with family and friends. And when there’s need for privacy, retire to one of five spacious bedrooms, four with en-suite bathroom. Thoughtfully designed and exquisitely decorated, you’ll feel that Villa Kenia was built just for you and your family.

balconies, summer kitchen, gazebo and heated pool, overlooking spectacular vistas

Every outdoor space at Villa Kenia seems to incline toward the panoramic vista, which sweeps down to Estepona and travels out over the Mediterranean to touch the distant coasts of north Africa.

There is nothing more Andalucian than Villa Kenia’s warm entrance, a quintessential Spanish patio, with elegant pillars, terracotta tiles, and an old well, surrounded by pots that drip with colourful blooms. And yet, this welcoming family home also lives up to its African namesake, celebrating the glorious weather and Spanish seaside location with an array of outdoor entertainment, complete summer kitchen, lounge spaces and private nooks.

The moment you step outside, it’s immediately clear that Villa Kenia was built to celebrate the views. Panoramic vistas unroll at every turn, so whether you’re lounging by the pool, seated on soft sofas with a glass of wine in hand, or cooking up a storm on the brand new outdoor grill, stunning Estepona and the Mediterranean are a forever glimmer at the horizon.

Explore 2,000m2 of meticulously groomed gardens, where a waterfall burbles and palm trees sway. Take a refreshing dip in the cool pool. Barbecue up a feast (or let our chef do it for you) in the top-of-the-range summer kitchen, while the final golden rays of the Spanish sun set over the sea, just as you settle in for a Moroccan lantern-lit meal.

After a long day’s relaxation, unwind in the new outdoor lounge with entertainment system built-in, or retreat to the gazebo at the end of the garden; the perfect vantage point to drink in spectacular views that stretch across the Mediterranean from Gibraltar to Africa.

Two living rooms: the principal being in the main part of the villa, where you’ll appreciate magnificent views, and the other in the lower ground floor family area with a flatscreen TV and games.  The living room is outfitted in colonial style, with very comfortable seating in beige linen, perfect both for hot summers and chilly winters.

There is ample room to gather together, or to carve out a quiet spot to snuggle in with a good book and a glass of wine. The living room has exceptional panoramic views that sweep over the green hills and mountains, extending toward the northern African coastline.

Villa Kenia offers two dining areas, one inside and the other outdoors. In warm months, you’ll gravitate to the shaded pergola, where a long table and huge wicker chairs provide seating for up to 14.

A complete outdoor kitchen with grill is yours for the barbecuing, although we’re happy to book you a chef so you can avoid the scorching hot work!

The indoor formal dining room offers seating for 8, and is decorated in a light seaside theme. The dining room has views to the pool and sits adjacent to the sleek, modern kitchen, fully equipped with appliances (coffee maker, hand blender, ice maker, kettle, cafetiere, toasters, etc.).

Breakfast may also be taken on the new summer terrace (seats 12) where a clear day affords views of the surrounding hills, the sea, and the African coastline.

The pool takes centre-stage in the garden, surrounded by grass lawns, with poolside seating and panoramic views from the mountains to the sea, Gibraltar and Morocco. The shady gazebo by the pool is an ideal spot for evening cocktails.

The villa’s landscaped gardens are gorgeous, blending Andalucian tiles, stone walks, an old well and fountain, then looping around past a gently flowing waterfall that leads to the pool, gardens and multiple terraces with plush seating areas. Moroccan lanterns light the way for alfresco summer evenings.

Sun loungers surround the 8×5 metre pool (which can be gently heated for a supplement) with a choice of two shaded outdoor dining rooms.

Indoors, the games den is the entertainment hub at Villa Kenia. It is decorated in kid-friendly colours and accoutrements, with comfortable floor cushions, an enormous sofa, and a 55″ TV. (Plus British outlets, so you can bring your favourite electronics from home.)

The den offers twin pool tables; one for the children and one for the grown-ups, table football (foosball), and a selection of family games.

Bedroom 1: Ground floor bedroom with twins or super-king bed (180x200cm), with white, grey and china-blue décor, including elegant cream chairs for private lounging. Bedroom 2: The villa’s second ground-floor suite with twins or super-king bed (180x200cm), this bedroom also offers a grey-and-cream colour palette with comfortable seating and classic style. The quirky en-suite bathroom has a freestanding claw-foot tub with a mini Sistine Chapel-style domed ceiling, plus a separate shower.

Bedroom 3: Located on the first floor, this bedroom with twins or super-king bed has olive green headboards accented by cream décor. The en-suite bathroom offers a shower, marble basin and tiled walls. With no balcony, this is an ideal bedroom for children.

Neutral décor with coral highlights and seaside style, there is a high-backed chair, large TV, and two lazy loungers on the terrace overlooking the pool. The pink en-suite bathroom offers a spa bath and separate shower. Children must be supervised on this balcony.
