The main-level formal sitting room is the home’s physical and spiritual epicentre with an ornate Moroccan ceiling; the living area is furnished with apricot-coloured velvet sofas, soft rugs, fine art, and a baby-grand smart piano. Views open onto the terrace, manicured gardens, and the deep-blue Mediterranean.
A cosy lounge adjoins the formal living room. Painstakingly crafted from a reclaimed Moroccan Palace, complete with hand-carved and painted wooden wall and ceiling panels, the lounge has ornate furnishings, Moroccan prints, and plush velvet seating.
Adjoining the living room’s other side, a snug reading lounge is decorated in a colonial-Africa theme with rich fabrics, an oversized chess table, book library, and large, open fireplace.
The magnificent, formal dining room is located at the far end of the main corridor. Seating 14+, it offers an 18th-century Renaissance feel – its walls and ceiling were pieced together from an 18th-century French castle – with stylish touches, including crystal chandeliers and antique silverware. French doors lead to the gardens and sea views.
The country-cottage kitchen exudes charm, with soft blue ceramic tiles and sunflower-yellow walls. Craft a feast on the farmhouse range and enormous butchers block. Doors open to the summer dining terrace. An additional, small breakfast room (seats 6) is located just off the kitchen.
Cosy up with family in the plush billiard’s room and Gentleman’s lounge – a step back in time, with a leather chesterfield sofa, oversized desk, and elegant emerald-green and ruby-red colour palette.
In the basement, a music lounge and bar offer a perfect spot for an after-hours drink or jam session. There’s also a sumptuous, Venetian-style movie theatre, with luxe red-velvet sofas and a DVD movie library.
The basement also house’s the villa’s spacious spa: an indoor pool with jet stream, hot tub, sauna, steam room, beauty treatment room, fully equipped Technogym, and juice bar.
Outdoors, relax beside the vast infinity pool, or get active with the putting green or full-size tennis court. Summer dining is available on the terrace, which houses an outback BBQ and brick-built grill.
