A graciously rustic property with splashes of colour exuding warmth and space.
A huge antique Ronda door gives a hint at what lays inside, revealing a spacious and comfortable living area with an over-sized fireplace, full of Spanish charm.
Beyond that lays a formal dining room, the main kitchen, a small bodega, and eventually you come to the beating heart of the house; A cool central patio that embraces Moorish traditions, bordered by archways, hand painted decorative ceramics, and finished in varying hues of terracotta reds, oranges, and rich blues inspired by the Mediterranean Sea.
Off the courtyard you will find three of the 9 bedrooms; a large master bedroom with four poster bed and private terrace, a guest twin room, and the courtyard room which also has space for an extra child.
Also by the courtyard you will find the kitchen, a lovely place full of rustic simplicity with a skylight, open fireplace and small bodega. Its welcoming vibe encourages family and friends to converge around the central island for a glass of something while dinner is cooking. Linked to the kitchen is an intimate dining room that seats up to eight persons.
There is a gymnasium which can be found at the driveway level, and is fully equipped for a variety of fitness needs.
4 further bedrooms can be found in the ‘Tower Wing’ – a tower of bedrooms stacked over two levels with a cosy reading attic at the top level that can be laid with one or two single beds to form bedroom number 10.
And finally, the two remaining bedrooms are located in the modern private apartment situated in the lower section of the estate. It comes complete with two bedrooms, a modern kitchen, living area and bathroom. The apartment also makes the ideal space for Brides to get ready for their big day, leading directly out to the wedding ceremony area looking towards the sea.
Nestled on a wooded hillside with a variety of trees soaking up the salty air, the gardens are well tended and peaceful.
The outdoor space at this villa is where families and friends will spend their most memorable hours in the Spanish Sunshine.
The upper terrace enjoys sublime views across the Madronal Estate, and offers a lounge and bar with a barbecue pit, perfect spaces for lingering over meals or drinks on sun-soaked days and cool nights.
Just below the main house a large and very private pool, and a separate hot tub with lighting and sound system, invite guests to indulge in complete relaxation at any time of day.
The pool terrace flows into a casual seating area, with a barbecue and an outdoor kitchen complete with cooking essentials for al-fresco dining.
Another level down from the pool leads to the apartment, and a garden circle riotous with flowers, and surrounded by the woodland estate of El Madronal.
This beautiful private residence offers the most beautiful setting for a relaxing escape in southern Spain.
When combined with its sister property Hacienda de Madronal 2 just 1km away, the estate can provide accommodation for 30 guests, offering the perfect backdrop for small and intimate destination weddings.
When used as a wedding villa, the private apartment offers a relaxing sanctuary for the Bride-to-be to prepare herself for making an entrance, and the oval-shaped garden facing the valley and down to the Med is the ideal place for the most romantic of celebrations to take place. The wedding reception can then take place around the pool with welcome cocktails on the top terrace, and there is space to invite up to 90 of your family and friends, see the gallery to get a taste of the Spanish vibe for your big day!
Located in the original part of the house, the spacious main living room leads through to the dining room, kitchen and Moroccan patio. The main living room has 3 large sofas and an open fireplace, TV with UK channels.
The indoor kitchen is located in the original part of the villa, and is homely and well equipped. It has a roaring open fire that is welcoming in winter.
There is a choice of outdoor dining areas, one off the main living area seating up to 10, and a further terrace by the pool seating 8+ , which is adjacent to the outdoor kitchen and BBQ. Finally there is another BBQ on the upper terrace with a bar and views to the sea.
For small weddings we can lay out celebration tables on the pool terrace.
This villa has extensive terraces and peaceful corners of the garden for relaxing in the sunshine or shade.
There is poolside seating with panoramic views and a large Jacuzzi, and evening cocktails can be taken on the upper terrace with lounging furniture. For a peaceful afternoon, the interior Moroccan patio is a welcoming retreat.

The villa rental includes daily light housekeeping (6 days a week) and staff live on site ready to assist with anything else you need from personal laundry and ironing, cleaning, or helping to prepare and serve breakfast and clearing away afterwards for a small fee. Additional staff hours can be booked and paid for locally.

The house has three distinct areas; the main house with its master and guest bedrooms, plus the courtyard room, the tower bedrooms, and the 2-bedroom self-contained apartment below the pool, making it ideal for 2-3 families to share with each having their own space.
Children of all ages are welcome but toddlers would need a little more supervision due to the steps around the property. Older family members should also be aware that there are steps to reach the upper terraces and some bedrooms.
