Villa Sora’s design unfolds around a bright, open-plan living space flooded with natural light. Floor-to-ceiling, retractable doors blur the boundary between inside and out and invite the endless sea views into the villa’s interior.

The kitchen has been finished to an exceptional standard, combining sleek aesthetics with practical innovation. A discreet coffee station, wine fridge and an integrated induction worktop create a space that is as functional as it is sleek.

Three beautifully presented double bedrooms lead from a central hallway, each opening directly onto the terrace through glazed doors. Their contemporary en-suite bathrooms are equally considered, with green onyx walls characterised by rich gold veining and a striking single-slab finish.

Meanwhile, underfloor heating, individually controlled air conditioning and carefully selected materials ensure the villa remains comfortable throughout all seasons.

Villa Sora’s outdoor spaces have been designed to make the very most of its elevated position above La Herradura Bay. A generous wraparound terrace provides multiple places to relax while gazing across the ever-changing blues of the Mediterranean.

Set on a lower terrace, the hot tub enjoys the same mesmerising views, creating a peaceful place to enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail. A fully equipped outdoor kitchen with gas barbecue and dining area makes al fresco meals a must, while an outdoor rain shower provides an idyllic spot for an after-swim refresh.

Villa Sora’s modern design is centred around a free-flowing living space with integrated kitchen/diner.

Cream modular sofas face a large Smart TV set within a recessed feature wall, while retractable floor-to-ceiling glazing opens the entire frontage onto the terrace.

Natural light, uninterrupted sea views and a simple, contemporary palette create a calm and welcoming space throughout the day.

Eating

Villa Sora’s contemporary kitchen is equipped with premium Siemens appliances including an American-style fridge-freezer with filtered water and ice dispenser, oven, microwave and wine fridge.

A concealed coffee station and innovative integrated induction hob maintain the kitchen’s clean, minimalist appearance.

Guests can choose to dine around the six-seat indoor dining table beneath designer pendant lighting or move outside to the six-seater al fresco dining area beside the outdoor kitchen, complete with gas barbecue, sink and food preparation space.

Relaxing

Guests at Villa Sora will find themselves naturally gravitating to its outdoor spaces. Time here is best spent beside the infinity pool, soaking up the sea-views in the hot tub or simply settled into one of the many seating areas overlooking the bay.

Inside, the open-plan living area provides a comfortable retreat, while the surrounding coastline offers easy opportunities to explore nearby beaches, restaurants and the relaxed atmosphere of La Herradura.

Light Housekeeping

Your rental includes a complete clean and linen change every 7 days, plus two additional light housekeeping visits during the week (housekeeping does not include kitchen clear-up). Additional housekeeping hours can be booked and paid for in advance to cover things like after-dinner clearing up or personal laundry, or as a daily service.

Why we love it

La Herradura has always been one of my favourite spots on the Andalucian coast. Despite its growing reputation as a holiday destination, it still feels authentically Spanish. There's something about the quality of the light here too. The sea is an impossibly deep shade of blue and, every time I've visited, the sky has been almost cloudless.

With a setting like this, a villa doesn't need to compete for attention. It simply needs to understand the brief, and Villa Sora does exactly that. The design is understated and elegant, allowing the vistas to remain the star of the show throughout.

The owners have clearly taken their time over every decision. From the lighting to the furnishings, every detail has been carefully considered. But it's the terrace I'll remember most. Spacious, uncluttered and perfectly orientated towards the endless sea, it's one of those places where you could easily lose track of time, whatever the season.

Villa Sora occupies an elevated position above the beautiful horseshoe-shaped bay of La Herradura on Granada’s Costa Tropical. Known for its family-friendly atmosphere and authentic Andalucian character, the town offers a slower pace of life than many of the Costa del Sol’s larger resorts, with excellent seafood restaurants and a picturesque marina all within easy reach.

Along the beachfront, traditional Spanish chiringuitos serve fresh seafood and salads overlooking the turquoise Mediterranean. Informal and relaxed, many come alive with music on summer evenings, while long lunches beside the sea are an essential part of life on this stretch of coast.

In the town itself, cafés and restaurants range from traditional Spanish favourites to more inventive Japanese fusion. On weekday mornings, the covered market offers a glimpse of everyday local life, with stalls selling fresh produce to take home for a leisurely poolside lunch. Several bars within the market are also ideal for sampling local tapas while looking out across the beach beyond.

The sheltered bay is one of southern Spain’s best locations for water sports, with opportunities for paddle-boarding, kayaking, snorkelling and scuba diving. Inland, the Sierra de Almijara Natural Park provides scenic walking routes and spectacular viewpoints across the coastline.
