La Herradura has always been one of my favourite spots on the Andalucian coast. Despite its growing reputation as a holiday destination, it still feels authentically Spanish. There's something about the quality of the light here too. The sea is an impossibly deep shade of blue and, every time I've visited, the sky has been almost cloudless.
With a setting like this, a villa doesn't need to compete for attention. It simply needs to understand the brief, and Villa Sora does exactly that. The design is understated and elegant, allowing the view to remain the star of the show throughout.
The owners have clearly taken their time over every decision. From the lighting to the furnishings, every detail has been carefully considered. But it's the terrace I'll remember most. Spacious, uncluttered and perfectly orientated towards the endless sea, it's one of those places where you could easily lose track of time, whatever the season.
