Should guests be desirous of privacy in the evenings, each of the 4 family suites at Casa la Joya comes with a self-contained living room containing comfortable sofas, armchairs and coffee tables.
For communal get-togethers, the ground floor tea room with garden views provides a charming space to enjoy a board game or a pre-dinner cocktail. Alternatively, the large central courtyard has plenty of seating areas on offer – as do the numerous sun terraces to be found on both the first and ground floor of the property.
Accessed via steps leading up from the central courtyard, the kitchen at Casa la Joya is a compact, functional space with a stylish black and chrome finish and a granite-topped central island.
The kitchen comes equipped with a 3-ring electric hotplate, toaster, integrated Balay oven/microwave and a Hisense American style fridge freezer (extra storage space can be provided in the pantry next door if required.)
When it comes to communal dining, Casa la Joya offers a large breakfast room with street views, complete with a long, 10-seater table. Coffee making facilities are provided in the form of two Nespresso machines, and there is a large projector screen at the head of the table – making it the ideal spot for breakfast meetings or working lunches.
Additional dining space is provided outside on the sun terrace, where the gas BBQ can also be found.
Relaxation comes as standard in Casal la Joya’s exquisitely decorated bedrooms with their comfortable beds and high-quality sheets.
After a restorative night’s sleep, start the day with a coffee on the sun terrace followed by breakfast in the garden or take or a refreshing morning dip in the beautiful private pool with mountain views.
Should you fancy a day trip, the stunning mountain city of Granada is only a 30-minute drive away – with its meandering streets, Moroccan tea-shops and breathtaking Alhambra palace. Alternatively, hit the slopes of the Sierra Nevada ski resort, or spend a day hiking one of the many trails that cut through the Lecrin Valley.
