Villa Aluna is an impeccably executed 7-bedroom luxury villa sleeping 14 guests, set in beautiful gardens and just a short distance from the beach. Interiors are calm and considered, while the garden spa and wellness facilities beckon you to switch off, and relax.
Architecture and nature come together as one at Villa Aluna. Trees are not just a feature of the garden, but form the essence of the design: living spaces come alive with indoor planting, and a soothing palette of stone, timber and textured concrete gives the interiors a distinctly organic quality.
Families can gather in a spectacular sunken lounge with a cosy TV snug, and bedrooms continue the understated aesthetic, while high-tech entertainment makes this just as special in cooler months as it is in high summer.
Enjoy the best of both worlds in Marbella's original family-friendly neighbourhood of luxury homes, just 20 minutes walk to the beach and only a short drive from Marbella old town
Unwind in the garden spa circuit with sauna, Japanese hot bath and cold plunge
Enjoy a wellness-focussed work out out in the Technogym-equipped home gym with ambient lighting and decorative planting
Tucked away amongst towering pines in the leafy Las Chapas neighbourhood, Villa Aluna feels surprisingly peaceful for a home so close to Marbella.
The architecture has been conceived around its natural setting, with established trees becoming features of the house itself. Beyond the striking design is a home made for spending time together, whether gathering around the kitchen island, retreating to the spa or sharing dinner beneath the trees.
Villa Aluna’s ground floor living room makes an immediate impression. A large sunken conversation pit sits beneath soaring ceilings, framed by indoor planting and a full-height library wall filled with books and decorative pieces.
Nearby, the sleek kitchen revolves around an oversized stone island – perfect for an at-home, chef’s table-style dining experience.
Concealed behind sliding glass, a cosy TV snug provides a more intimate place to relax, with curved built-in seating and a large TV. Throughout the villa, sculptural lighting, bespoke furnishings and carefully chosen natural materials give the interiors a distinctive yet understated character.
Life Beneath the Pines, a Short Stroll from the Beach
Landscaped gardens wrap around Villa Aluna, with majestic umbrella pines providing both shade and privacy. At their centre is the swimming pool, bordered by generous terraces with daybeds, parasols and a sunken seating pit..
Close to the house, a shaded dining terrace provides an easy setting for breakfast or lunch by the pool. Further into the garden lies a second entertaining area, featuring an outdoor kitchen curving around the trunk of a soaring tree, alongside, a dining pavilion and contemporary pergola.
Tropical planting softens the architecture throughout, while a dramatic water feature adds another focal point among the gardens.
A tranquil oasis dedicated to wellbeing and play
Wellness is integral to Villa Aluna, with facilities that go far beyond the usual villa gym. The garden spa circuit includes a sauna, Japanese hot bath and cold plunge, while the lower ground floor gym is equipped with Technogym cardio machines, strength-training equipment and free weights. A mature tree rises through the centre of the gym, giving this highly contemporary space an unexpected connection to the gardens.
A large multi-purpose studio provides space for yoga, meditation and private wellness sessions, but can take on an entirely different character after dark. The room incorporates a bar with ice maker and DJ deck, allowing it to become a private entertainment space for special evenings.
Alongside this is a dedicated home cinema, with a wall-to-wall projection screen, surround sound and oversized seating for relaxed movie nights
The social heart of Villa Aluna is its open-plan kitchen and main lounge, with the sunken seating area providing plenty of room for the group to gather. A separate TV snug offers a quieter alternative, while the cinema and downstairs entertainment space give larger groups several places to spread out.
There is no conventional dining room at Villa Aluna. Instead, the kitchen’s 12-seat island works well as an informal chef’s table, putting guests at the centre of the action during a private chef experience.
Outside, dining takes on a different character. A table beside the pool is ideal for casual meals close to the kitchen, while the garden dining pavilion seats 12 guests beside the outdoor kitchen, surrounded by mature trees.
The main kitchen is comprehensively equipped with Miele appliances, integrated fridge/freezer and dishwasher, wine fridge, Inkapto coffee station, kettle and Nutribullet.
Wellness forms part of the experience Villa Aluna. The garden spa circuit offers a sauna, Japanese hot bath and cold plunge, complemented by a modern gym with Technogym cardio equipment, free weights and strength-training equipment.
The multi-purpose room can be arranged for meditation or wellness sessions in the morning, and reconfigured for evening entertainment later on. A private cinema provides another option after dark, with deep modular seating, a large projection screen and surround sound.
For private events, the entertainment space also includes a bar with ice maker and DJ deck, with use of the DJ equipment strictly by prior arrangement.

I’ve always been a fan of Villa Aluna’s location. The Las Chapas estate has a leafy, established feel, with broad tree-lined avenues and large private plots, yet you’re still remarkably close to the coastline and some fantastic beach bars. It’s an unusually peaceful corner of Marbella and, at Villa Aluna, that sense of space has translated into a gorgeous private garden dominated by soaring mature pines.
I particularly love how thoughtfully the house has been designed around those trees rather than at their expense. The outdoor bar curves around the trunk of one pine, turning it into a spectacular natural feature, while the garden dining area and fountains seem to emerge from the surrounding greenery. Despite the villa’s contemporary architecture, nothing feels stark or clinical.
This connection with nature continues indoors, with foliage woven through the living spaces and softly illuminated trees bringing an almost ethereal quality to the gym downstairs. There’s something slightly enchanted about Villa Aluna – it feels wonderfully balanced and soothing, and I can’t imagine many better places to disappear from the hustle and bustle for a few days.
At Villa Aluna, exceptional service combines with high-spec interiors and an impressive range of private wellness and leisure facilities, creating a sophisticated villa experience where every detail has been considered.

Contemporary architecture feels remarkably organic at Villa Aluna, where natural materials, integrated planting and mature trees soften the clean architectural lines. Bespoke furnishings, sculptural lighting and imaginative details – including an outdoor bar built around a soaring pine tree – give the villa a distinctive identity without ever feeling overly styled or clinical.
Villa Aluna is particularly well suited to intimate wellness retreats and corporate escapes, with four bedrooms offering twin configurations for guests sharing. A dedicated gym, private spa circuit and flexible studio for yoga or meditation provide excellent facilities for structured programmes, while the gardens offer peaceful spaces to switch off between sessions.
Villa Aluna is tucked away in Las Chapas, a leafy residential area east of Marbella known for its pine trees and proximity to the coast. The villa sits approximately 800 metres from the beach, making the Mediterranean easily accessible, either on foot or by car.
This stretch of coastline has a more relaxed character than central Marbella, with long sandy beaches and beach restaurants dotted along the shore. It is a particularly appealing location for guests who want the privacy of a residential setting without feeling removed from the coast.
Marbella's pretty town centre is around 10 minutes away by car, putting the restaurants, boutiques and atmosphere of the Old Town within easy reach.
Head west and the wider Marbella area opens up, from days spent exploring the town to evenings out along the coast. Golfers are also well placed for the numerous courses found throughout this part of the Costa del Sol.
