Screened by tall palms and banana fronds, Villa Zayana has a lush, almost tropical feel that sets it apart from a more typical Marbella villa.
Despite its discreet positioning, it is exceptionally well located – just a short stroll from the beach in one of Marbella’s most established enclaves, and a stone’s throw from Los Monteros Kimpton hotel with renowned racquet club and poolside dining.
Brutalist architecture framed by dense planting gives the villa a striking contemporary façade, while expansive glass opens the house onto terraces, pools and quieter corners of the garden.

The main living area is open and fluid, with floor-to-ceiling glass, sliding away to connect directly with the terraces and gardens. Two seating areas sit within the space, making it easy to gather as a group or break off more informally, depending on how the day unfolds.
Elsewhere, the layout naturally separates social spaces from more private corners. A garden-facing office provides a quiet place to work when needed, while the lower-ground floor features a quiet lounge and adjoining gym, offering a more relaxed space to unwind.
A Private Garden Retreat Just Moments from the Sea
Villa Zayana’s outdoor spaces feel notably discreet, with considered planting creating a tranquil and secluded vibe. The garden has an almost tropical quality, with quieter corners set back from the main terraces and the pool extending directly from the living space, just steps beyond the house.
Above the villa, the rooftop terrace introduces a second private pool alongside a bar area with BBQ grill, creating an ideal setting for sunset drinks and informal dining.
Elsewhere in the grounds, a repurposed summerhouse has been transformed into a more intimate retreat, with a log-burning stove and sofa seating layered with cushions. Its perfectly placed for quieter moments, whether curled up with a book or practicing meditation. A separate outdoor wellness area includes a Japanese hot bath, ice plunge and sauna, available with assistance from the villa staff.
Villa Zayana’s main living area is a contemporary open-plan space filled with natural light from wall-to-wall glazing. Two seating areas with large sofas provide relaxed gathering spaces while polished concrete floors and neutral tones reinforce the villa’s minimalist aesthetic.
On the lower ground floor an additional lounge provides modular seating, a wall-mounted TV and entertainment options including a PS5, card games, Jenga and Uno.
A separate home office near the entrance offers a quiet workspace overlooking the garden.
The contemporary kitchen sits alongside the open-plan living space and connects directly to the terrace via floor-to-ceiling sliding doors. What really stood out to me was the privacy. Your moments from Los Monteros resort and the main road to Marbella, but you could just as well be in the centre of a rainforest: the only sound you can hear from the garden is birdsong and gently trickling water.
In terms of standout features, I loved the repurposed summerhouse tucked away in the garden which now works as a cosy meditation space. The whole lower ground floor area also has an incredibly soothing, spa-like feel, with soft lighting and a day bed creating a peaceful corner to unwind after a workout in the gym.
