The open-plan living, dining and kitchen space is a voyeur’s dream with full-length windows running the length of the room which perfectly frame the stunning views.

The pared down decor is designed to put the view front and centre of attention. Bare concrete walls and parquet-style ceramic tiles are complemented with muted tone sofas and armchairs, and of course the wonderful swing chair.

The lounge also features a wall-mounted smart TV and you’ll find toys, games and puzzles for the children, including Montessori toys.

Taking centre stage between the living and kitchen areas sits the gorgeous 10 seater 100% solid mango wood artisan dining table which is paired with modern perspex seats. For little guests, there is an ergonomic child’s dining chair complete with bamboo wood plates and BPA free cups, plus silverware for children.

The outdoor dining terrace is magnificent. Running the full length of the villa with those sea views and an eight seater dining table and impressive Weber gas BBQ.

Cooking is a dream at Villa Lumiere. The contemporary kitchen with its central island and breakfast bar features a host of cookware and appliances without being excessive. Equipment includes: Hyundai induction cooker and oven, Whirlpool fridge freezer, hidden washing machine, Nespresso, WMF cookware/silverware.

The ground floor pool terrace provides plenty of space for little ones to play, while you relax on one of the poolside sun loungers or under the covered lounge gazebo. The main level terrace is the perfect spot for sunset cocktails or to soak up the view with a morning coffee.

Villa Lumiere is an easy-going villa, perfect for family downtime also featuring ultra comfortable en suite bedrooms each with exquisite sea views.

Principal Bedroom 1: All bedrooms are located at entrance level and feature Pikolin mattresses, Pikolin duvets (goose down feather), Tempur pillows and Kotton Culture 100% cotton 800 thread count bedding.

The principal bedroom is furnished with a 160cm bed, 2 bedside tables with quirky monkey and rabbit reading lamps, a Smart TV, fitted wardrobes, a sofa bed, and for the stargazers, a Celestron NexStar 127 SLT Mak Telescope. An external door takes you down to the main terrace.

The en suite bathroom is equipped with a walk-in rain shower with sea view window, single long washbasin, LED light mirror, and toilet.

Guest Bedroom 2: Bedroom 2 is furnished with a 160cm bed, 2 bedside tables with lamps, and a Smart TV. It also features a walk-in wardrobe.

Guest Bedroom 3: Bedroom 3 is furnished with a 160cm bed, 2 bedside tables with quirky giraffe reading lamps, Smart TV, an armchair and single fitted wardrobe.

The en suite bathroom is equipped with a walk-in rain shower with sea view window, single washbasin, LED light mirror and toilet.

Guest Bedroom 4: Bedroom four is furnished with twin motorised adjustable beds (90 x 200 cm), 2 bedside tables with quirky pineapple reading lamps, a Smart TV and a single fitted wardrobe.

The en suite bathroom is equipped with a walk-in rain shower with sea view window, single washbasin, LED light mirror and toilet.

LIGHT HOUSEKEEPING

Your rental includes a complete clean and linen change every 7 days, plus additional light housekeeping in 2 visits during the week (housekeeping does not include kitchen clear-up). Additional housekeeping hours can be booked and paid for in advance to cover things like after-dinner clearing up or personal laundry, or as a daily service.

Every booking includes around 3 hours of itinerary planning before you travel (more complex itineraries can be organised for a fee to cover extended hours).  As a guide, 3 hours is usually enough to help with your airport transfers and car hire, a chef service for a special meal, and to help you plan and book one day out.

Skiing is always popular during the season (from December to late April). Sierra Nevada is great for beginners and children. Passes and ski hire can be arranged by the villa concierge.

For foodies we have selected the best places to eat in Granada city. Enjoy a selection of day tours or bespoke itineraries all with a door to door service in air-conditioned vehicles.

GETTING AROUND

To help you get the very best from your stay at this villa, our Guest Experience Team can help you with hire cars and transfers when booked in advance.

There is also a local taxi service on-call.

Villa Lumiere is situated at the top of a quiet residential urbanisation. The road up to the villa is steep and we highly recommend car hire when booking a stay here. The nearest town with shopping facilities is Almuñeca (7.3 kms).

The pool terrace is situated down a flight of stairs (no lift to this level). Adult guests must accompany smaller children to the pool. There are sunbeds and a covered terrace so that you can relax while they play.
